Teeth Whitening
Feeling a bit down about the color of your teeth? We understand. Whether it’s the coffee you’ve been brewing as a barista, or the remnants of your past smoking habit, your teeth may have lost their natural luster. But don’t worry, there are professional solutions to restore that bright smile of yours, and it’s right there, waiting to shine again! Let’s explore how we can make it happen!
Your Gentle Dental Experience
The effects of your lifestyle can show on your teeth. Whether it’s years of enjoying coffee, tea, soda, or red wine, or the remnants of a past smoking habit, your teeth may have lost their natural radiance. But don’t worry, we can put that sparkle back into your smile! At Gentle Dental Fort Belvoir, our whitening service is a breeze, non-invasive, and can remove years of stains from your teeth in just a single one-hour treatment.
What To Expect
1 hour treatment
Before your whitening procedure at Gentle Dental Fort Belvoir, we’ll ask you to use Sensodyne toothpaste for one week. This will help reduce any sensitivity that might occur as a temporary side effect of the professional whitening process. We’ll carefully apply a hydrogen peroxide solution gel to your teeth, taking precautions to protect your gums. The gel will stay on your teeth for 15-minute intervals and will be rinsed off between each interval. Typically, after three intervals, your teeth will have lightened by three to four shades on the shade guide. If needed, we can do a fourth interval.
Afterward, we’ll apply a relief gel to your teeth and provide guidance on avoiding certain foods and beverages for the next few days. Yes, coffee is on the list, but it’s temporary!
Some brief sensitivity may occur, even for those who are not typically sensitive, but it won’t last long. Brushing with toothpaste like Sensodyne and avoiding extremely hot or cold foods for the next day or two can help.
